We will be holding a 3rd year Vigil for our Son
Thomas Rober Jodry. Thank you all who have been with us
through this journey, and new ones who just came on board.
We have been in Civil Court for 2 years, have served many subpoenas,
have held many depositions, and still get bits of information.
Our goal is two-fold:
1. To gather any information regarding our Wrongful Death case against David Allen Knight .
2. To insure PUBLIC SAFETY by making sure the Parking Structures
are brought up to 2022 codes. They are unfinished structures, and I
have been meeting with Heidi Harmon, Christine Dietrich, and
Derek Johnson and the San Luis Obispo City Council about this
matter. They assure me that even though 3 people have died in these parking structures in a 5 year period, that Public Safety is important, and have agreed to help me make the trip to Sacramento to ask for the money to put in cameras, finish the openings by putting in safety grids, and putting in emergency call stations as other California Cities have. I am interested in starting a foundation that would include Public Safety Messages about Young Men and Women and Predators, and provide Scholarships to young people who may not qualify for the Cuesta College Promise Program, but need a way to pay for School. I just want to add. Thomas would be 24 right now, his Nursery Bussiness well established, and he was only getting started in cataloging and making new artwork.
His brother and sisters have many things going on, and Thomas would be so excited to be a part of all of that.
He brought me a cup of coffee the morning he died. I was asleep in my back massage chair, and awoke to him sleeping on the couch. I drank my coffee, and then brought him a cup. He was still sleeping.
I got dressed and took Grandma out for a haircut and ran errands with her, as she had spent 3 monhts recovering from a broken hip. This was her first venture out.
Thomas was downstairs in his bedroom when I left so I never got to thank him for the coffee or say Good bye.

I open your closet just to hold your skateboarding shoes, and admire all the things you ordered from Amazon that were waiting for you.

I took your guitars in and had them restrung and have them hanging in your room. They are ready to play, I have your special comemorative skateboards hangning there too.
I cannot say Goodbye. It is so wrong that you are not here. We are suffering deeply, but we are managing to complete the things we were working on at the time you left us. I even finished restoring Great Grandma’s Dreseer. It is beautiful.

May 6, 2021 Almost Mothers Day….
I cannot believe I have another year without my Son. The loss is unbelievable, the emptiness is undescribable. We have made a lot of progress in this case. We now have Photos from the Police Videos, which show some of the people who were there on the scene.
As a Mother, I ask that you please let me know what you saw. The unknown is the hardest reality for a family to go through.
We want to thank all of the people who called 911, and stopped at the scene to help. We know this is difficult to talk about, but really, not talking about it is worse.
Please look carefully at the pictures, you may be in the picture, know someone in the picture, or maybe you were there, and heard something.

David Allen Knight of Atascadero, who bought so many drinks for our Son that his blood alcohol was .38, at the scene of the fall. He identified our Son, even telling him his age and where he lived, Said he didn’t want to go on record that he knew him, and has our Son’s phone in his back pocket. He walks away several minutes later, and texts our Son’s phone, “Where are you”.
He said to Police, I was trying to mentor him. He texted “Fuck you” to our Son at the bar, and continued to order more drinks. He even switched drinks on Thomas.

Our Son, Thomas, age 21, with David Knight age 56. David Knight had just pulled Thomas head down to his crotch by the bill of his hat. The bartender heard a crass remark and so did these other Gentlemen in this photo. Our son appears to be smiling, but was actually grimacing. Please bystanders, tell us what you heard.
